The Lord take care of all my problems

Hi my name is Paul. I am 35 years of age have been a committed catholic ever since viewing a video about Medugorje in May of 1999. Up until that stage I had led a pretty normal life although it had been a bit of a struggle because I had suffered from diabetes since the age of four and had just contracted a severe form of arthritis. My religion was really an obsession with physical fitness and I worked night shift at the newspaper. Unfortunately I was given a rather poor description of what Medugorje was all about and this caused me great anxiety resulting in insomnia which in turn led to me having a mental breakdown two weeks after viewing the video. For the next three and a half years I suffered from insomnia and stress when things weren't going well. In June of 2002 my mother was diagnosed with cancer and given eight weeks to live. I had another major stress attack at this stage. My mother lived for another 7 and a half months. In the late stage of her illness tensions rose in my family and I became really stressed out and couldn't sleep. I was put on medication by a psychiatrist which didn't make me feel too good.

This was in the first week of January 2003 and this was when I began daily adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. It had an immediate affect on me. I began to sleep from that day on and threw away my anti psychotic medication. Whatever problem I have on my mind I just give it to Our Lord and he takes care of it.

I was probably in denial about having a mental illness even though I was twice admitted into mental institutions, first in May of 1999 and then when my mum was diagnosed with cancer, but I now realise that I did have such a condition and believe that I have been healed through adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
